A delightful dessert that combines the classic flavors of cookies and cream with a fun and shareable pizza format.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups crushed cookies (Oreos)
- 1 cup ice cream (vanilla or cookies and cream flavor)
- Chocolate sauce drizzle
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Press the dough onto a greased pizza pan or baking sheet, forming a round pizza shape about 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake the cookie crust for 12-15 minutes, or until it’s set and the edges are slightly firm. Allow to cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Once the cookie crust is completely cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle the crushed cookies generously over the frosting. Top with scoops of ice cream.
- Finish by drizzling chocolate sauce over the ice cream and cookies.
- Cut the dessert pizza into slices and serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for up to an hour before serving.
