This vibrant drink combines the natural sweetness of strawberries and watermelon with the tangy zest of lemons, creating a thirst-quenching beverage that is perfect for summer picnics, outdoor parties, or simply enjoying on a warm afternoon.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
3 cups watermelon, deseeded and cubed
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on preference)
4 cups cold water (divided)
Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Ice cubes for serving (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Strawberries: Place the sliced strawberries in a blender. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse the blender a few times to your desired consistency.
Prepare the Watermelon: In the same blender, add the cubed watermelon and blend until completely pureed. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp, if desired.
Mix the Lemonade Base: In a separate bowl, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Combine: Add the strawberry puree and watermelon juice to the pitcher with the lemon mixture. Pour in 4 cups of cold water and stir well until all ingredients are blended together.
Taste and Adjust: Taste your Strawberry Watermelon Lemonade and adjust sweetness and tartness as needed by adding more sugar or lemon juice.
Chill: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
Serve: Pour the lemonade into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
