Description
This recipe is not only incredibly simple, requiring just four ingredients, but it also delivers a rich and savory flavor profile that's perfect for a family-friendly dinner.
Ingredients
Scale:
3 to 4 pounds of beef chuck roast
1 packet (about 1 oz) of onion soup mix
1 tablespoon of your favorite brisket dry rub
1 cup of beef broth
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Begin by trimming any excess fat from the beef chuck roast, ensuring that it isn’t too lean. Pat it dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix the onion soup mix and brisket dry rub. Rub this mixture all over the beef.
Place the seasoned beef in the slow cooker. Pour the beef broth over the top.
Cover the slow cooker and set it on low heat. Cook for 8 to 10 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender.
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.
Slice the brisket against the grain for maximum tenderness and serve with a drizzle of the cooking juices.
